Bends, Chips, & Tip Repair
Repairs starting at $10 dollars.
Do you have a knife with a bend in it? A major chip? Tip broken off? No problem! These concerns are fixable and can be addressed by hand, preserving your knife's finish, integrity, and geometry. Send me an email with some photos, and we'll go from there!
Every knife is sharpened on Japanese whetstones by hand - no machines, no shortcuts. From single-bevel knives to chisels and everything in between. Click here for more info on my process. Specific concerns? Don't be afraid to ask!
Thinning & Profiling
Starting at $10 dollars.
With repeated sharpening, blades get shorter in height and thicker at the apex, creating a knife geometry that wedges instead of slices. This can be remedied by thinning the main bevel of a knife.

Additionally, repeated use of a pull-through sharpener can lead to wonky profiles and excessive bolster material over time. Not a problem! Send me some photos and I'd be happy to advise!

Rehandling & Rust
Rust removal starting at $5 dollars.
Rehandling starting at $20 dollars.
Unfortunately, stainless doesn't mean stain-never! Surface rust can be addressed with minimal impact on a blades finish. Deeper rust may not clean up visually perfect but it can certainly bring an old knife back to life!

Cycles of wet and dry can ocasioanlly crack Japanese style "wa" handles. If your handle has seen better days or you simply want a change of pace, don't hesitate to reach out!
